Beta was correct

Now that Market Street is almost completed, it is easy to verify that Beta Engineering is correct and VHB was wrong on the how the intersections near MarketStreet will behave.   The attached images were taken on Dec 23rd around 1:00 PM.  For anyone who drove through the Walnut Salem Street area during the past week, you were most likely in similar situations.    The town should learn from this experience, especially if more commercial development is proposed.

Pipeline surveyors operating in Lynnfield

A crew of surveyors associated with Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company LLC will be conducting a survey, from the public ways, of classifications of dwellings and buildings in the areas of the proposed NED pipeline route, for the purpose of design of the pipeline in those areas. They will be operating from the public ways, and occasionally will be taking photos. This activity may extend over the next several weeks.

Nomination papers for Lynnfield election available on Jan. 4

In case anyone is interested in running

The Town Clerk is pleased to announce nomination papers for the 2016 Annual Town Election will be available Monday, January 4. Open seats will be: Board of Selectmen, one seat for a three-year term, Board of Assessors, one seat for a three-year term, Board of Library Trustees, two seats each for a three-year term, Town Moderator, one seat, for a one-year term, Planning Board, one seat for a five-year term, and one seat to fill an unexpired term for one year, and two seats each for a three-year term for the School Committee.

The last date to obtain and submit nomination papers for the Town Election is set for Tuesday, February 22. Papers must be returned no later than 5:00 pm on February 22. In order to get your name on the ballot, nomination papers must be certified with at least 50 signatures of Lynnfield registered voters.

Extra days for DPW recycle yard in Decemeber

The Department of Public Works is pleased to annouce that the DPW recycle yard will open for two additional days this season. The DPW Recycle Yard will open on Saturday December 12, 2015 and Saturday December 19, 2015 between the hours of 7:30 am to 3 pm.
